The current lack of space for immersive sci-fi experiences in the market, alongside the expanding domestic sci-fi film and television industry, presents a strategic opportunity. This innovative architectural design proposal suggests an assembled steel structure that aligns with the national science and technology development strategy. The design caters to diverse commercial, science and technology exhibitions, as well as education and training needs.
Inspired by space bases in sci-fi films, the building employs a modular design, integrating a vast array of high-tech devices, displays, and lighting systems to create a truly immersive and futuristic experience. With an emphasis on assembly, the building is constructed on-site using prefabricated components from the factory, reducing construction time and enhancing site adaptability. The modular design creates seven main spaces and connecting passages, resembling the "Big Dipper". The flow design within the main space is changeable, forming complex and diverse pathways and evoking a sense of exploration in the viewer. Additionally, the space supports multifaceted business integration, allowing for synchronized exhibition and sales, blending physical experience with electronic product display and online shopping while optimizing inventory management.
Structurally, the building utilizes aluminium plates and stainless steel due to their high strength, recyclability, and flexibility in shaping. These materials echo the sci-fi theme, appealing to the younger demographic interested in science and technology. The colour palette, silver-grey, technological blue, and vibrant orange, further enhances the futuristic atmosphere. This series of designs positions the project as a manifestation of the architectural future, showcasing technological, intelligent, and sustainable attributes.
